Hi, I’m Solenne

I’m a PACFA Clinical Counsellor supporting teens and adults who are navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, emotional overwhelm, identity challenges, and the stressors of living in an increasingly demanding world.

My style is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I work gently and at your pace, helping you make sense of your experiences and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels safe and possible.

My Training & Background

I completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the United States, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, before relocating to Sydney and continuing my practice here. My training included experience across outpatient programs, community clinics, and multidisciplinary teams, particularly in eating disorders, adolescence, and complex mental health presentations.

I now practice as a PACFA-registered Clinical Counsellor, integrating both U.S. and Australian perspectives on mental health care, with strong grounding in trauma-informed practice and evidence-based therapy.

How I Work

Therapy with me is gentle, relational, and attuned. I believe healing happens when you feel understood, respected, and safe enough to explore the harder parts of life.

My approach integrates:

  • DBT for emotional regulation and practical coping

  • ACT for values, flexibility, and reducing struggle

  • CFT for self-kindness, shame reduction, and body image healing

  • Somatic work to reconnect mind + body safely

  • Attachment-informed therapy to explore relational patterns

  • Trauma-informed care to build internal safety and stability

We work together to understand what underlies patterns around food, body, emotions, relationships, and coping, always without judgment, pressure, or shame.

You don’t have to have the “right words” or a clear goal to begin. You just have to show up as you are.

Who I Work With

I support:

  • Teens and young adults navigating identity, school stress, body image, and emotional intensity

  • People struggling with eating disorders or disordered eating, at any stage of insight

  • Adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, or body dissatisfaction

  • Individuals who feel disconnected from themselves

  • People with long-standing emotional or relational patterns that are hard to shift

Whether you’re here because things have been difficult for a long time or because something recently changed, therapy can give you space to breathe, reflect, and rebuild.

My Values as a Therapist

In our work together you can expect:

  • warmth

  • integrity

  • collaboration

  • safety

  • respect for autonomy

  • culturally sensitive, LGBTQIA+ affirming care

  • a pace that feels manageable and supportive

My role is to walk alongside you and help you understand the “why” behind what you’re feeling or doing, then support you in building new patterns that feel more aligned with who you want to be.
